Google Assistant on Chrome OS is finally here on Chrome OS version 77 - Asus Flip C302 seems to be having issues though (** Updated)

I was pleasantly surprised when a notification on my Asus Chromebook C302 informed me that Google Assistant is finally available in Chrome OS 77 after a system update (on the stable channel).

I was eager to try it out, but the setting to enable it as per the instructions was nowhere to be found. I tried looking for answers and stumbled upon a post on the official support boards about other C302 owners noticing the same issue.

I'm looking forward to playing with the feature as well as the other new stuff with this update (hopefully the virtual desktops I have heard so much about).

I am still waiting patiently for Crostini to arrive for C302 but I am not holding my breath. :/

Update: I am happy to amend that as of Version 79 the Google Assistant has been working flawlessly
