Turning your Wi-Fi only Google TV box into a wired device

I do not know who needs to know this but if you have a Xiaomi Google TV Box (or presumably any Android-based media box) and wish to switch to a wired connection for a better internet connection, then you can buy a USB-A to Ethernet adaptor (preferably the USB 3 to Gigabit Ethernet adaptor). The device should be able to work right away after plugging it in the only USB slot of the TV Box since the device is running on Android. The downside is that you will lose the ability to play from a thumb drive. I have not checked if a docking station that has both Ethernet and USB Hub will work but I don't see why not.

I've been having issues with Wi-Fi coverage issues at home, so I finally decided to buy a Gigabit network switch. We always had problems with the internet coverage in the bedroom with the modem provided by our service provider. It was just a matter of laying out about 10 meters of ethernet cable and voila, problem solved! I know there are a lot of alternative solutions to this problem. A Wi-Fi extender can be used, and you can also implement a Wi-Fi network mesh, among others. I am planning on deploying a mesh network soon.
